Which Ramp Shape Is Right For You?
Arched:
Preferred geometry. Reduces the chance of high centering (belly scrap) during transition from ramp to bed or dock.
Straight:
Simple and effective. Reduced side profile height makes it slightly easier to fit into tight spaces like slide outs.
The right option for every job
Surfacing:
Tread Rod:
Light, strong, and passes debris. The Tread Rod offers excellent wet and dry friction. A universal and low-cost surface.
Double Tread Rod:
All the advantages of tread rod, but closer spacing works better with smaller tires and casters.
Diamond Plate:
Strong and dazzling. The plate works best for the smallest tires and casters.
Smooth Plate with Traction Tape:
Recommended for small tires and casters. Offers the best wet and dry friction in plate surfacing.
End Supports:
Fingers:
3/8″ thick bars with vinyl, no mar covers. For use on light capacity (< 3000 lbs) ramps only. Requires a safety strap.
Plate:
A universal solution for all ramps with load capacities =/> 3000 lbs. Requires a safety strap.
Angle (Trailer Hook):
Eliminates the need for a safety strap, allowing quick deployment. Works for all load capacities but only on trucks, trailers, or docks designed for trailer hook engagement.
